Finca Los Álamos – Alto Valle de Uco
Sandy loam with pebbles, medium-low fertility. Low percentage of organic material. Good drainage and low salinity.
Traditional winemaking methods were used, including a three-day cold pre-fermentative maceration. Fermentation took place in concrete tanks without epoxy coating. Pumping over and manual punching down were performed to maximize maceration. Fermentation took place at 25 °C.
Color: Deep red with bordeaux hues. Some brilliant highlights reflects its polishness.
Aroma: Dry black prunes, subtles notes of wild rosemary and lemongrass.
Mouth: Balanced and eadgy wine. Sweet tannins, good structure which offers harmony with a dark chocolate end.
Harsh winters and hot summers with temperate or hot days and very cold nights. The daily temperature range is about 15º C during the growing development stage, favoring a very good production of color and tannins.
Meat, pasta, stews, legumes, mature cheese.
Rest in French oak barrels for 20 months. Rest in bottle for 12 months.
