Tomero Gran Reserva
Gran Reserva Malbec 2012
Finca Los Álamos – Alto Valle de Uco
Sandy loam with pebbles, medium-low fertility. Low percentage of organic material. Good drainage and low salinity.
Traditional winemaking methods were used, including a three-day cold pre-fermentative maceration. Fermentation took place in concrete tanks without epoxy coating. Pumping over and manual punching down were performed to maximize maceration. Fermentation took place at 25 °C.
Color: Deep red with bordeaux hues. Some brillant highlights reflects its polishness.
Nose: Dry black prunes, subtle notes of wild rosemary and lemongrass.
Palate: Balanced and edgy wine. Sweet tannins, good structure that offers harmony with a dark chocolate end.
