Malbec Rosé 2016
Finca Los Álamos – Alto Valle de Uco
Sandy loam with pebbles, medium-low fertility. Low percentage of organic material. Good drainage and low salinity.
Cold skin maceration for 20-24 hours. The free-run must was extracted by run-off and by pressing up to a maximum pressure of 1.5 bars. The must is protected from air exposure. Cold settling and seeding with selected yeasts. Fermentation took place at 15 °C.
Colour: Pale rose, with delicate and almost golden hues.
Aroma: Fresh fruits aromas appears at first. Strawberries and cherries with some spicy notes.
Mouth: Sweet entrance, medium volume. The end is fresh, balanced and persistent.
Harsh winters and hot summers with temperate or hot days and very cold nights. The daily temperature range is about 15º C, favoring a very good production of color and tannins in the grapes.
Salads, Asian and spicy dishes, white meat and fish.
Grapes were picked and placed in 20-kilo boxes on March 19th. Clusters were refrigerated prior to destemming.
