Malbec Rosé 2015
Finca Los Álamos – Alto Valle de Uco
Sandy loam with pebbles, medium-low fertility. Low percentage of organic material. Good drainage and low salinity.
Cold skin maceration for 20-24 hours. The free-run must was extracted by run-off and by pressing up to a maximum pressure of 1.5 bars. The must is protected from air exposure. Cold settling and seeding with selected yeasts. Fermentation took place at 15 °C.
Colour: Intense pink with violace shades.
Aroma: Fresh, ripen and conserved strawberries.
Mouth: Very good acidity which brings youth and vibrancy. A summer wine with fresh finish and medium intensity.
Harsh winters and hot summers with temperate or hot days and very cold nights. The daily temperature range is about 15º C, favoring a very good production of color and tannins in the grapes.
Salads, Asian and spicy dishes, white meat and fish.
Grapes were picked and placed in 20-kilo boxes on March 23rd. Clusters were refrigerated prior to destemming.
