“I think we can produce wines in the most important wine-growing regions in the world, finding in each of them the best expression of the grapes: the perfect terroir for each variety, not modifying the ground’s condition”.
Carlos Pulenta belongs to the third generation of one of the most influential families in the Argentinian winemaking industry. Originally from Ancona, Italy, the Pulenta family settled in Mendoza in 1901 and they have devoted their lives to winemaking ever since. Carlos Pulenta recalls his childhood immersed in this culture, playing in the vineyards and helping in the production processes. His love and knowledge of the vineyard and the winery have their origin in those first experiences.
Since 1975 he has been in charge of promoting the Peñaflor, Trapiche, Salentein and Vistalba wineries. In 2003 he started a very personal project: launching top-quality wines through Bodega Vistalba. This project is located in Luján de Cuyo, from where he offers to the world high-quality wines according to his own winemaking philosophy.
Carlos is also an energetic ambassador of Argentinian business interests and acts as the Honorary Consul in Mendoza, representing Finland, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
